* Hide public symbols in evp.hbeck2024-04-091-1/+19

* Remove unused app_data from EVP_CIPHERtb2024-01-041-19/+1
| | | | | | | | The EVP_CIPHER structs are static const data that the library returns when you call EVP_aes_128_cbc(), for example. It makes no sense whatsoever to hang user data off such a struct, but it's been there since forever. ok jsing
* Unbreak the namespace build after a broken mk.conf and tool misfire hadbeck2023-07-071-19/+1
| | | | | | | | me aliasing symbols not in the headers I was procesing. This unbreaks the namespace build so it will pass again ok tb@
* Hide symbols in hkdf, evp, err, ecdsa, and ecbeck2023-07-071-1/+19
| | | | | | (part 2 of commit) ok jsing@
* Make internal header file names consistenttb2022-11-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Libcrypto currently has a mess of *_lcl.h, *_locl.h, and *_local.h names used for internal headers. Move all these headers we inherited from OpenSSL to *_local.h, reserving the name *_internal.h for our own code. Similarly, move dtls_locl.h and ssl_locl.h to dtls_local and ssl_local.h. constant_time_locl.h is moved to constant_time.h since it's special. Adjust all .c files in libcrypto, libssl and regress. The diff is mechanical with the exception of tls13_quic.c, where #include <ssl_locl.h> was fixed manually. discussed with jsing, no objection bcook
* Use correct length for EVP CFB mode ciphers.jsing2022-09-101-10/+10
| | | | | | | | | | The BLOCK_CIPHER_* macros contained a bug where the total length is passed to the underlying cipher implementation, rather than the length of the current chunk. Correct this and use the chunk length instead. Should address the remaining issues reported by Coverity. ok tb@
* Stop casting a size_t to a long and then passing it as a size_t.jsing2022-09-061-22/+22
| | | | | | | | | These cipher implementations take a size_t length argument, so stop casting it to a long. Found by Coverity. ok tb@
* Remove dead code.jsing2022-09-041-31/+10
| | | | No change in generated assembly.
* Rearrange some functions.jsing2022-09-041-21/+17
| | | | | | | Pull the init_key and ctrl (if present) functions up to the top. This improves readability and allows for the removal of function prototypes. No functional change.
* Mechanically expand IMPLEMENT_CFBR macros.jsing2022-09-041-8/+267
| | | | Only change to generated assembly is due to the use of EVPerror().
* Mechanically expand IMPLEMENT_BLOCK_CIPHER macro.jsing2022-09-031-21/+486
| | | | | Only change to generated assembly is due to EVPerror()'s use of line numbers.
* Include evp_locl.h where it will be needed once most structs fromtb2021-12-121-1/+2
| | | | | | evp.h will be moved to evp_locl.h in an upcoming bump. ok inoguchi
* Send the function codes from the error functions to the bit bucket,beck2017-01-291-3/+2
| | | | | | as was done earlier in libssl. Thanks inoguchi@ for noticing libssl had more reacharounds into this. ok jsing@ inoguchi@
* Remove unnecessary include of assert.hmiod2015-02-101-2/+1

* Explicitly include <openssl/opensslconf.h> in every file that referencesjsing2014-07-101-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | an OPENSSL_NO_* define. This avoids relying on something else pulling it in for us, plus it fixes several cases where the #ifndef OPENSSL_NO_XYZ is never going to do anything, since OPENSSL_NO_XYZ will never defined, due to the fact that opensslconf.h has not been included. This also includes some miscellaneous sorting/tidying of headers.
